Mariana Osoria Co-Chair

Mariana Osoria has dedicated her work to the field of social services for nearly thirty years, the last 15 in executive leadership and management impacting programs and systems in Latino and African American communities. Mariana has also been a national facilitator and trainer for twenty years in the areas of social justice, anti-poverty, community and organizational entry, and anti-racism. She is currently serving as Vice President of Centers at Family Focus, a family support organization whose mission is to promote the well-being of children from birth by supporting and strengthening their families in and with their community. Mariana received her master’s degree from the University of Chicago, School of Social Service Administration and has earned certificates in leadership and nonprofit management from Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business and the Latino Policy Forum.

Mariana’s civic leadership includes membership on the board of LUCHA, PCC Wellness, the Cicero Community Collaborative, the City of Aurora Education Commission and the Puerto Rican Agenda (PRA). Mariana serves on the Puerto Rican Agenda’s Executive Committee and is a founding co-chair of the Planning and Public Affairs Committee whose work is focused on community planning, economic development, appointments to boards and commissions and to support the Puerto Rican Agenda’s overall mission. Mariana also serves as co-treasurer and has worked to ensure that processes and accountability are part of the PRA’s policies and procedures in efforts to maintain organizational transparency. Mariana has volunteered in multiple PRA activities from representation with the media, fundraising, and general special event support. Mariana continues to work towards engagement and collaboration at all levels of the Puerto Rican Agenda.
